How to Replace Ink Cartridges Check which ink cartridge needs to be replaced. Tap [Next]. Tap [OK]. Tap [Yes, replace now]. Remove the ink cartridge from the package. Tap [Next]. Remove the cap from the new cartridge. Do not touch the portions shown in red. Open the scanner unit by holding it at the holes. Do not touch white cable and translucent film. Tap [Start]. Replace ink cartridge one after another as soon as possible. Delaying the insertion of the new cartridge may cause the printer to perform additional maintenance. Push the tab and remove the ink cartridge. Insert the new ink cartridge diagonally. Gently push it down until it clicks into place. Make sure ink cartridges are fitting tightly. Put the cap back on the cartridge that you removed. Close the scanner unit. Tap [Completed]. Confirm the ink level. Tap [OK]. To check the ink levels, Tap the consumables icon. You can check the ink levels. Tap [Close].
